Ralf Güldenzopf
Since 10/2004 he become founding member and Lecturer at the Center for Political Communication, University of Jena, designing and teaching courses such as "Campaigns and Elections in Germany" and "The US-Presidential Election in 2004." Research focus on political communication during campaigns, such as elections, conflicts, or war.
From 03/2004 he followed Independent Research for Master Thesis, USA, gathering additional material and conducting personal interviews with distinguished scholars and experts in and around American campaigning, esp. the Schwarzenegger Gubernatorial campaign 2003.
Since 10/2003, he contributed to several publications in the Field of Political Communication and International Affairs, such as "German Elections - Campaigning American Style", in Campaigns & Elections, December 2005.
Starting with 10/2001 until 08/2002 he occupied the position of research Assistant, at the Institute of Political Science, University of Jena, working on the state-funded research project: "Civic Engagement in the State of Thuringia." He was responsible for "sport and civic engagement": development of questionnaire for a 5,000 person survey, statistical evaluation of survey data, interviews with experts, writing of chapter for final report.
During 08/2000 and 10/2000, he was intern at "Minnesota Office of Strategic and Long-Range Planning" in St. Paul, MN (USA). He held researches, writing reports and developing accountability measures to "Make Minnesota the Best Managed State in the U.S.". He, also, Assisted the Director of Minnesota Planning, Dean Barkley, by preparing meetings, party fundraisers, and working with Gov. Ventura's Office.
