Gheorghe Teodorescu
He is Professor at "Al. I. Cuza" University in Iasi, he teaches courses on "Sociology of the public opinion and electoral analyses", "Political Sociology", "Research tools in communication sciences", "Sectorial Public Relations", Master courses on "Management of electoral campaigns", "Promotion and receptivity of pools within public space"; and he is also guest lecturer for USTL- Lille1.
He is founder and coordinator of "Caiete sociologice" / "Sociologic Notebooks" magazine; founder of "Romanian-French Sociologic Summer School- Iasi (every year since 2002).
Member of AISLF (Asociation Internationale des Sociologues de Langues Francais) and ESOMAR (European Society for Opinion and Marketing Research; member of The National Committee of Romanian Social Institute; member of ASR (Romanian Sociologists Association) member of ARCOR (Romanian Association of the Rome Club and also organizer of the International Symposium of Club of Rome - "How to Ride the Global Wave: Avoiding Crises and Wars, Building Common Projects"(1999); president of MOST- UNESCO in Romania; CNA expert for Moldova area 1995-1996; Executive director of AXIS Academic Foundation in Iasi 1994-present; member of the National Committee of Coordination for PNUD for Romania, Local 21 Agenda (2000-2002).

He published his studies in national and international magazines, also in collective volumes (La Roumanie et le defi de la Globalisation, "Globalismul şi dilemele identitare",in "Studies" Collection of the Romanian Academy - 2002; in La democratie et „la spirale du reproche", in „Modernisation, Democratisation, Europenisation: la Bulgarie et la Roumanie comparées", under the coordination of Anna Krasteva and Antony Todorov, Nouvelle Université Bulgare, Sofie, 2006 etc) in articles and comments for newspapers.
He was Project Coordinator for research and academic grants programs.
He is now president of INSOMAR, a Romanian public opinion survey Institute.
